1. Have your system checked and serviced twice a year - in the spring for cooling
and in the fall for heating.  Your air-conditioning and heating unit is like your car.
To avoid costly repairs and breakdowns, you must change oil, filters, and plugs
for peak efficiency.  Our preventive services are designed to minimize
breakdowns, lower utility bills, provide protection from unsafe operation, and
extend the life of your equipment.

2. Change your air filters monthly.  A dirty filter will restrict the airflow, thus
causing your unit to run constantly and ultimately increase your energy bills.
Most common filter sizes can easily be found at grocery and hardware / discount
stores.

3. Install a digital thermostat and set temperature to 78 degrees when not at home.

4. Use ceiling fans to help circulate the air.  This will enable you to set your
thermostat at a higher setting, yet remain comfortable, while reducing your
energy costs.

5. Have a safety switch installed to prevent clogged drain lines from overflowing
and causing costly damage to your home.

6. Consider having a UV light installed in your duct systems to provide a
healthier living environment for your family by reducing exposure to mold and
mildew, bacteria, pollen, and viruses.
